En Badly Shah Bin Ariff Shah
Vice President of Corporate Affairs / Chief Financial Officer

Badly Shah Bin Ariff Shah, graduated as a Chartered Management Accountant and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is an Accountant by training and has extensive experience in various industries in his capacity as a Senior Management member of the respective organizations.

He started his career in 1975 as a Plant Accountant in Multitone Electronics Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of a UK based electronic company. In 1981, he joined Pernec Corporation Berhad as an Accountant and was subsequently promoted to Assistant General Manager, Services, a position he held until 1988. From 1989 to 1991, he was the General Manager, Finance of Annah Tours and Travel Sdn Bhd., a local travel agent, prior to joining DMC Telecom Sdn Bhd. as the Senior Manager, Finance and Administration in 1991. He was the Assistant General Manager of Kewangan Bersatu Berhad from 1993 till 2002 and a Director of KBB Properties Sdn. Bhd. and KBB Nominees Sdn. Bhd.

He joined MUST in May 2002 as the Controller of Finance. His responsibilities have included bringing MUST into audit compliance; working with MIT on developing a research based accounting systems and overseeing MUST administration matters, including facilities and human resource. He was promoted to his current position in March 2004. He is responsible for accounting, treasury, budgeting, human resource, facilities and administration, regulatory compliance, investment strategies, promotions, legal and sponsored programs and other non academic functions of the University.
