MUST welcomes applications from international students into the following programmes:
- MSc in Information Technology
- MSc in Biotechnology
- MSc in Transportation and Logistics
- MSc in Construction Engineering and Management
- MSc in Materials Science and Engineering

Additional Information
In addition to the admission procedures required of all students applying to MUST, International students must provide official translations of all transcripts and documents if the original documents are in a language other than English. International students must provide certified documentation that they have adequate funds for tuition and living expenses for the duration of their studies.
While pursuing their degrees at MUST, international students have to comply with local immigration regulations pertinent to their student status.
Language Proficiency
All lectures, laboratory sessions, written and oral examinations at MUST
are conducted in English. Applicants will be required to provide
documentary evidence of proficiency in English through ONE of the
following examinations:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 600, or
higher
OR
- International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) with a minimum
overall score of 6.5 and at least 6.0 on each individual component of
the test.
OR
- Provide other proof of English proficiency as evaluated through personal interviews with MUST.
Application for Student Visa
Students from All Countries
except China
MUST will apply on your behalf to obtain a student pass. There is no
necessity for you to apply directly for visas from the Malaysian
embassy/mission in your home country.
All applications, processing, approval and issuance of Student Passes or
visas are done in Malaysia. Foreign students applying to MUST are
required to send in the following additional documents:
- Six passport sized photographs
- Two copies of every page of passport
Upon approval of the application, Immigration will inform the foreign
student concerned through MUST. The student has to be met on arrival
at the point of entry (e.g., airport) by MUST staff. MUST is required
to submit the student's passport to the State Immigration Department for
a Student Pass sticker to be affixed within two weeks of arrival.
Students from China
MUST is seeking the necessary approval to recruit students from China.
