Programme Description:

The Bachelor of Science programme in Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management train and prepare students to venture into the fast-growing and dynamic field of transportation, logistics and supply chain management. There is a wide range of companies and organizations involved in the planning, construction and operation of transportation, logistics and supply chain infrastructures and systems, and these are typically among the largest companies in any country. They operate in areas such as public transportation and mass transit, airlines, airports, ocean shipping, seaports, rail, cargo transport, supply chain management, eCommerce, manufacturing and distribution, green and sustainable transportation, traffic control, highway operations, toll operations, traveler information systems and energy production and distribution

Students will first take a number of fundamental courses, such as transportation and logistics systems and supply chain operations and management to establish a firm foundation for more specialised courses later. The specialised and career-oriented courses include courses covering the different modes such as air, sea, road, rail, inland waterways, pipelines, as well as courses related to specific aspects of business, such as inventory control, facilities design, eCommerce, marketing, distribution and international trade. The specialised courses taught by the senior faculty members will equip students with multiple skills to handle the complex and interdisciplinary nature of transportation, logistics and supply chain management. Students will also make site visits and field trips to companies and organisations involved in these processes, namely, operators of airports, airlines, seaports, shipping lines, buses and light and heavy rail, large-scale integrated manufacturing establishments, global logistics and freight forwarding companies, sophisticated and state-of-the-art warehouses and others.

After completing the Bachelor of Science degree, students can choose to go on to the Master of Science and eventually the PhD programme. Alternatively, they will receive assistance from our Center for Career Services for job placement in leading companies in the field of transportation, logistics and supply chain.

Entry Requirements:

  • A-Level or equivalent from a recognised institution by the Malaysian Government, with CGPA 2.0; or
  • Certificate of Matriculation or Foundation programme from a Higher Education Institution which is recognised by the Malaysian Government; or
  • Passed Diploma programme from a public or private universities, polytechnics, or other recognised institutions by the Malaysian Government; and
  • Passed STPM with at least 2 Principals including Science and Mathematics subjects; or
  • Fulfill the terms and conditions as may deemed suitable and acceptable by the respective program for the students to be qualified and accepted in MUST academic programmes
