| 1. What are the programmes available at MUST, its duration and fee structure? | ||||||||||
MUST offers a number of Postgraduate Programmes (MSc and PhD degrees). Additionally, beginning July 2008, MUST has also introduced Foundation and Undergraduate Programmes. Masters of Science (MSc) Programmes
All the above MSc programmes require a minimum of 3 semesters (18 months) of full-time study i.e. 2 semesters for coursework and 1 semester for research. The course fee is RM 10,000 per semester. ( Total cost fee for the whole 3 semesters is RM30,000 ) In the event of any extension of studies, the fourth and subsequent semesters will be based on per course basis at RM2,500.00 per course/thesis Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programmes In addition to the above MSc programmes, MUST offers two doctorate programmes (PhD) during its January and July 2008 intakes. The PhD programmes being offered are:
The above PhD programmes involve both coursework and research with a minimum of 6 semesters (3 years) and a maximum of 12 semesters (6 years) of full-time study. The course fee is RM 10,000 per semester for the first three semesters and RM 2,500 per semester for the subsequent semesters. (Total cost fee for the whole of 6 semesters is RM37,500) Foundation Programmes In addition to Postgraduate Programmes, MUST also offers a Foundation Programme (effective July 2008 Intake)
The above Foundation programmes requires a minimum of 3 semesters (1 year) of full-time study. The tuition fee is RM 4,000 per semester. (Total tuition fees for the entire programme, i.e. for 3 semesters, is RM 12,000) In the event of any extension of studies, additional tuition fees would be charged for the fourth and subsequent semesters at the rate of RM 1000.00 per course taken to complete the programme. Education Pathway of the Foundation Programme Bachelors of Science (BSc) Programmes MUST would be launching a number of undergraduate Programmes in December 2008.
