Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK), Berlin, Germany

Featured Speaker
Prof. Dr. Mertins is currently the Director of the Division Corporate Management at the
Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK) in Berlin, Germany. His
range of expertise includes Advanced Management, Innovation, Knowledge Management System,
Business Process Modelling. International Benchmarking, Factory Control Systems and Complex
Manufacturing Systems. He is also Co-editor of the international magazine “Production Planning and
Control” and Co-editor of the international business journal “Business Process Management” published
in the UK. He has also been a Professor for Global Production Management at the Technical University
of Berlin since 1998.
