Visit by the Representatives of Syria Yarmuk Private University (SYPU)

Representatives from the newly established Syria Yarmuk Private University visited MUST on 27th September 2005. The University was represented by Prof. Mouaffak Daaboul, Chancellor of the Syrian University. He was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Samarah, Dean of the Higher Institute of Earthquake Research and Studies, Damascus University and Dr Mohd Khaled Al-Jaafri, Deputy Dean of the Arabic Academy of Financial and Banking Sciences, Damascus. The main purpose of the visit was to develop a working relationship with MUST in key areas in order to help establish SYPU and its academic infrastructure. The delegation was also taken for a short tour around the MUST campus. The SYPU is scheduled to have its first intake in October 2006.
