MTL 708 Cases and Issues in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

This course will examine decision making in corporate logistics and supply chain management. The course will focus on the role of product flow management in corporate strategy, on the analytical techniques in the field, and on the pragmatic implementation of policy. It will span procurement, operations and distribution. Topics covered will include customer service, inventory policy, transportation policy, inter-company operations, channel restructuring, logistics system design, organization structure, and logistics and supply chain strategy formulation and implementation. The case method will be the predominant mode of instruction.
