MSE503 Mechanical Properties of Materials

This subject gives an overview of the mechanical behaviour of materials, including elasticity, viscoelasticity, plasticity, creep, fracture and fatigue. Both the macroscopic, continuum behaviour, as well as the physical mechanisms controlling the behaviour are described. Material design for improved mechanical behaviour is discussed.
