MBT 704 Molecular Biology of Microbial Systems

The lectures will provide the basis for the topic and students will be given the latest research papers pertaining to that topic for which they will present for discussions. Emphasis will be placed, in particular, on the experiments that led to the elucidation of key molecular mechanisms and the applications of these fundamental discoveries in microbial systems. Students will be graded on their presentations, especially on their understanding of the topic presented and their ability to answer questions, as well as a final written examination that will include all the topics that are covered throughout the course.
